An impressive and majestic French 19th century patinated Bronze and Ormolu statue of a horse and groom, modeled after the horses of Marly. The spectacular horse is draped in a saddle blanket and displays a wonderful flowing mane and tail while rearing. The horse is being handled by a handsome richly chased groom dressed in flowing garments and is holding the stallion by its Ormolu reigns. Wonderful proportions and attention to detail throughout.
