About the Item

A handsome French 19th century Patinated bronze statue of a young David signed A Gaudez. The statue is raised on a square base displaying a front scroll with the name "David". David stands proudly on ground like design with one leg on a rock surrounded by foliage with a piece of wolf fur held by a belt around his waist. He also has a pouch holding small rocks for his sling which he has wrapped around his right hand. Wonderfully detailed with beautiful patina throughout.
