About the Item

This is a German Porcelain Group Sculpture of a Pair of Grapes Harvest Cherubs or Putti. It depicts a bisque white porcelain of two semi nude cherubs- one standing up and the other one sitting down and half laying down in the other- picking joyfully a bunch of grapes. They are over a wooden grapevine. The sculptures are supported by a wide column like base adorned with a gold color garland of a bunch of grapes and their leaves in the center and a chain of beads at the top and bottom of it. The column is hold up by a gilt metal octagonal base with scrolled feet. The German porcelain hallmark of E. A. Müller of Thuringia, Germany is below the base.
