About the Item

Step back in time with this stunning hand-chased cast bronze figurine, reminiscent of the beautiful Rococo era. Sculpture depicting a beautiful young lady in a garden by a fountain, holding a letter in one hand and a miniature portrait in the other. Judging by the facial expressions of the young beauty, she received a letter from her beloved young man and, after reading it, she plunged into sweet memories and dreams... Most likely, this beautiful sculpture once topped a magnificent Rococo mantel clock. But given the craftsmanship and quality of workmanship, this sculpture can be placed on its own or as part of an artistic image on a pedestal made of stone, wood or metal. Made in the middle of 19th century, gilded bronze, hand casting and chasing. Details are just amazing. Size app.: 19 cm (roughly 7.5 in) high, 16.8 cm (roughly 6.6 in) wide, 7.8 cm (roughly 3.1 in) deep. Very good condition, just minimal age and usage wear. There are two holes for fixture on the base. Please study good resolution images for overall cosmetic condition. In person actual item may appear darker or brighter than in our pictures, strictly depending on sufficient light in your environment. Weight of app. 1.7 kg is going to measure some 3 kg packed for shipmed.
