About the Item
On a round base is placed the nativity composed of the Holy Family with the ox and donkey, three cherubim fly to heaven. The seated Madonna and St. Joseph standing turn an adoring gaze to the baby Jesus placed in a sheet on the manger, the snouts of the two animals sprout between them, while three cherubs hang in flight on a kind of architectural whim with a column. Protective glass case missing.
The figurines are typically made of terracotta torso and limbs with glassy eyes joined together in solidarity with an iron and rag mannequin, clad in silk clothes. The architecture is made of wood, cork and various materials.
