About the Item

A wonderful and most decorative Italian 19th century Grand Tour Period Alabaster statue of the Temple of Vespasian. This stunning ruin is are raised by a mottled square base below the blocked podium with carved steps. Above are the three fluted columns with richly detailed Corinthian capitals, and with the remnants of the architectural carved crown above. The Temple of Vespasian and Titus is located in Rome at the western end of the Roman Forum between the Temple of Concordia and the Temple of Saturn.
