An impressive and near life size Italian 19th century Carrara marble and Ormolu statue of Lady Justice. The stunning Justice is standing above a square platform wearing sandals and a draped classical style garment. She is depicted as a blindfolded woman holding scales to weigh evidence and an Ormolu sword to enforce judgments, representing impartiality, balance and the power of the law. Lady Justice is common symbol of law and fairness. She originates from ancient goddesses like the Greek Themis and Roman Justitia, she symbolizes the principle that justice should be applied objectively, without bias for or against any individual.
