An impressive and high quality Italian 19th century Grand Tour Period patinated bronze statue of the Borghese Gladiator. The statue is raised by a rectangular base where the handsome gladiator is standing. He holds a defensive stance with his left arm up wearing an armband with his right arm behind him seemingly holding the handle of a broken sword. All original rich patina throughout.
