About the Item

Large American western bronze "Ponca Eagle Boy," 1988 mounted on green marble base, by Stan Johnson. Native American Indian on rearing horse with flying eagle showing amazing movement. Stan Quentin Johnson (Murray, Utah, 1939 - 2017, Parowan,Utah) was an academic realist sculptor who attended the University of Utah and trained with Avard T. Fairbanks and his sculptor son, Justin Fairbanks. As a result of such training, Johnson became a sculptural specialist in both western and patriotic themes. Signed Stan Johnson, dated 1988 and cast in a limited edition 2/50.
