This large impressive work is by Jef Lambeaux who was born in Antwerp. He studied at the Antwerp Academy of Fine Arts. His first work was exhibited In 1871. In 1875 he went to Paris where he executed for the Belgium salons Several pieces that were regarded as masterpieces. He worked 1852-1808
