About the Item
This Mexican red ceramic clay hand sculpture is a piece by artist Manuel Reyes. Made with clay from Oaxaca and Zacatecas, painted with oxides from the region. Done with the hand-modeled technique and cooked in traditional wood-fired oven. The hand is decorated with birds on each finger, inspired by a textile from Chiapas. Manuel mentions the main character is a friend of his that had a great love for birds and nature.
