About the Item

Mid 20th Century bronze abstract sculpture of a man and woman signed M. HUDECEK 1967. Miroslav Hudeček (1935-2025) was a Czech sculptor known for works focusing on universal human themes like love, good, and evil, often alongside his wife, ceramist Olga Hudečková, with whom he frequently exhibited. Born in Strážnice, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, explored art in the USA, and his sculptures found public placement, even before the Velvet Revolution, though he remained separate from politicized art. This is a fine example of Hudecek's work in very good condition, signed. Base 10.75 x 12.50
