Monumental Large Scale Italian Carved Wood Putti Pedestal Sculpture
Antique, wonderfully decorative Italian baroque style ornate cherub pedestal. This life-size carving is created in walnut in one piece. The height measures an impressive 5+ feet tall. The 19th century masterfully carved sculpture depicts a lively group of several cherub figures in a dynamic playful pose. The topmost figure is holding a large shell tray over his head.
Condition is good commensurate wear with age and use.
