About the Item
Gorgeous antique Murano hand blown light blue, black and aventurine flecks Italian art glass potted plant decorative sculpture. Created in the manner of the Venini and Seguso Vetri d'Arte companies. Similar samples are shown in books from both the companies. The sculpture has a diamond quilt design on the surface of the bowl, with ruffled rim. It also has a black flared out applied foot. The fruits, which look like figs, hang from jet-black leafs, and are filled with copper avanturine flecks. They glitter in any light. Would make a great display piece on any desk, coffee table, or vanity. Art Deco, Mid-century era. Very elegant design. Collectors item. Measures: 7 1/2" tall x 7" wide.
