Translation : The originals Are Two stunning busts by Charles Cordier have reappeared on the market depicting spring and summer, this is an 1865 pair in bronze with onyx cashmere draperies. Spring depicted with her hair gathered in a bun, her forehead encircled by a silver garland of flowers and roses falling over her shoulder. The Summer s the counterpart of the previous one . The summer wears an elegant hair embellished with a long fold ribbon mixed with ears of wheat and wild flowers. This pair is an illustration of the art of Cordier , who reintroduced color into sculpture in the nineteenth century
