About the Item
Entitled "Columpio Feliz" which translates to "See-Saw", this lovely porcelain sculpture was a limited edition; hand painted and hand made porcelain issued in 1974 and retired in 1991; manufactured by the iconic and world renowned Lladro Porcelain Company in Spain; noted for their fine quality porcelains. It is product #1255 (see original box image) and was designed and made by the renowned sculpture, Vicente Martinez. It depicts a young sailor boy dressed in appropriate outfit, and his young girlfriend in a white dress and a hat, with a pink bow. both playing on a see-saw. There are muted colors of blue, white, and beige. The porcelain itself is in outstanding and completely all original condition with no repairs or restoration; which is quite unusual for this piece given its' vulnerability. Note the vulnerable fingers on the young lady's hand-----completely intact. The underneath is marked with the Lladro logo and an impressed "F-11 M". This came in two versions; "matte" or "glossy" finish; this is the more desirable glossy surface example.
Often found chipped, or cracked with damage to fingers, and "sans box" this particular Lladro is none of that, and is an elite, near mint, fine quality "Columpio Feliz". Please note "free shipping".
Guaranteed to be authentic and original, this piece has the appropriate markings on the underneath and is packed in the original box, which has some wear and tape repairs but still remains strong and with all of the provenance (see image). It is rarely found in this, just about mint condition with no mars, chips, or scratches, and definitely no restoration of any kind.
