About the Item

A fine delicate sculptural figurine of a woman by Seguso Vetri d'Arte or Cappellin Venini made of delicate translucent soffiato glass with a slightly iridized finish and teal green "pasta" type color accents. Hand made on the venetian island of Murano in Italy circa 1930 by the most skilled artisans. The female sculpture appears windswept raising one arm while resting the other arm on her dress. Ideal for the collector of rare 1930s art deco glass or for a hollywood regency decor theme. In excellent condition with no damage or repairs. Soffiato glass is a type of thin, blown glass, often transparent and richly colored, created using the traditional Venetian glassblowing technique. Vittorio Zecchin, a painter and textile designer, is renowned for his work in Soffiato glass, particularly for Venini and MVM Cappellin. His designs were inspired by classical forms focusing on the essence of the form and the beauty of the glass.
