This set of 2 statuettes offers a faithful reproduction of the Ombra della Sera, a hallmark of Etruscan art from the 3rd century BCE, originally cast in Volterra, Italy, and preserved at the Museo Guarnacci.
The workshop bronze finish gives each piece a warm and authentic appearance. It is said that Giacometti was inspired by these elongated forms for his own iconic sculptures.
