About the Item

A beautiful and complete set of three Italian early 18th century neo-classical period terra cotta statues of maidens signed C PIERI. Each wonderfully executed statue is raised by a circular mottled base. Detailed maidens are draped in flowing classical attire, one carrying a harvest of wheat, one carrying ripe fruit and the other holding a shawl over her shoulder. All original warm patina throughout.
