A fine, signed modernist (or surrealist) bronze sculpture. Whimsically depicting a conch shell with legs in full stride. The realistically modeled shell with a lighter ochre/brown patina and the legs with a darker chocolate brown patina. Mounted on a square marble plinth. Signed with an etched 'JP' signature to the underside of the shell. Simply a wonderful, whimsical sculpture! Date: 20th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There is some light edge wear, some minor rubbing to the patina, and some fine light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
