About the Item

Terracotta sculpture after Antonio Canova’s iconic Danzatrice con dito al mento (1809–1814), a masterful example of neoclassical elegance. The dancer is captured in a graceful pose, one finger thoughtfully resting against her chin—a timeless expression of poise and harmony. The patina is worn in places, lending the piece a soft, timeworn character. Inscribed “CANOVA” at the base. One foot is missing.
