Theatrical mask of satyr carved on white Carrara marble placed on a base of fine red Levanzo marble.
These types of masks adorned Greek and later Roman theaters.
The sculpture is made so that it can be placed as it is presented, that is, on the marble base, or it can be placed on the wall as an apotropaic mask, or it can also be used as a fountain mask, having the mouth pierced.
The sculpture has an "antiqued" treatment, even with special patina, which makes it similar to the original museum models.
The sculpture is a model created in the Todini workshop in Tarquinia (italy), this workshop has obtained quality certification from the Lazio region and has been included in a list of workshops "with high cultural and aesthetic value"
