About the Item

A handsome true pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. Giltwood and Terra Cotta dog statues. Each statue is raised by an oval shaped Giltwood pedestal with mottled edges and a dentil patterned band around the base. The dogs lay on their sides and display very comfortable and calm poses with charming expressions. Wonderful attention to detail throughout.
