About the Item

Very large Christ (1.80m from hands to feet) sculpted in the round, with its original polychromy. Oak wood, probably from the Troyes sculpture workshops in the Aube region. First half of the 16th century. Still showing Gothic influence in the beard. Very striking presence; the polychromy has been thoroughly cleaned. In used condition, with minor losses. Height: 1.70m, width: 1.15m; diagonal from hands to feet: 1.80m
