About the Item

Victorian carved whole conch Shell c1880. Beautiful and rare item to find! This was hand carved in Italy, likely a souvenir of a Grand Tour. The subject of the carving is of St George slaying the dragon. The carving is well executed and shows lovely and intricate detail. Nice large one at about 9" tall by 7" wide and deep. CONDITION; Overall condition is very good with a few small defects to the shell edges.
