Every so often we encounter figures such as this sculpture, of a man holding a fishing net, that simply command our attention. The sculpture shows evidence of the wood giving way to the elements in the face, torso, shoulder, and has a missing section of his hat. His eyes look toward the sky, perhaps signaling that the day has come to an end. A siren sits at his feet. Undated and unsigned, circa 1970s.
