About the Item

Julio Le Parc — “Continuel Lumière Mobile” Kinetic artwork, ca. 1968. Edition Denise René. A refined kinetic work composed of a white lacquered metal panel held between two black-lacquered metal supports, each fitted with a light source that illuminates the piece from above and below. From the upper support hangs a constellation of six strings, each carrying seven polished steel discs. The discs catch and reflect the light in constantly shifting directions, activated by the gentle natural air circulation created by the warm airflow of the lamps. This subtle, perpetual movement generates a mesmerising play of reflections — bold, deep and energetic, yet simultaneously elegant and serene. Provenance: Private collection, Paris. Previously acquired from the Claude Pompidou collection. Edition of 250. Excellent, fully original condition.
