About the Item

Fascinating steel sculpture composed of a rotating body where to place the twelve rods that will form the trigrams resting on the marks on the base. The origin of the IChing comes from a Chinese oracular book believed to have been written by the legendary Emperor Fu Hsi over 4,000 years ago. It is based on the use of eight trigrams that They represent the forces of nature and its changes. The IChing is used to consult destiny and wisdom through the interpretation of the hexagrams formed by the combination of two trigrams that we ourselves will create by rotating the sculpture and following our instinct to remove one by one the six rods that will make up our hexagram. which we will later consult in the millenary book of the IChing and be able to reflect on its message. This incredible work loaded with spirituality and respect for tradition was designed and created by the Zarpa Team formed by Juán Gómez Soubrier and Juán Carlos Martín García in the 70s, creators of important sculptural works such as their famous Capablanca cubic chess, which was selected and exhibited at the Sao Paulo Biennial in 1973. This piece is sealed and numbered, limited to only 500 units worldwide and includes the original red presentation box.
