Crafted from solid wood and richly detailed with classical acanthus leaf motifs, they are authentic architectural fragments that bring timeless grandeur to any interior space. Dating from the 19th century, these pieces reflect the enduring influence of Corinthian order architecture, celebrated for its ornate capitals adorned with acanthus scrolls. Age-related splits and losses to the acanthus leaf scrolls are present, but these only enhance the character and authenticity of the pieces, highlighting their rich history and storied past. Perfect as standalone decorative accents, pedestals for busts or sculptures, or unique statement pieces in eclectic or classical interiors, they bring a refined sense of antiquity and texture to any space.
