Water-Clear Brazilian Quartz Obelisk
Description
Tall, crystal clear, and refined in form, this clear quartz obelisk is an excellent example of high-quality Brazilian quartz. Standing at an impressive 15 inches, it features outstanding transparency, a perfectly terminated apex, and is filled with rainbows.
This specimen represents the finest qualities of clear quartz from Diamantina, Brazil, a region internationally known for producing exceptionally transparent crystals. It was carefully cut and polished to preserve the crystal’s natural integrity—an essential standard for every piece we curate at E2D Crystals.
The obelisk was cut into six sides, creating a balanced and elegant geometry. The lapidary work is clean and precise, and the final polish was completed using cerium oxide, the same compound used in fine jewelry, resulting in a smooth, refined finish without compromising the crystal’s natural character.
Found in Diamantina—once a center of diamond mining in the 18th and 19th centuries and now renowned for its super-clear quartz—this piece stands as a natural artwork shaped by geology and skilled craftsmanship.
