Water-Clear AAA Quartz Crystal Sphere with Internal Rainbows – Diamantina, Brazil
▫️ Description
This high-grade clear quartz crystal sphere was carved from exceptional material sourced in Diamantina, Brazil, a region internationally recognized for producing some of the clearest natural quartz in the world. The sphere displays outstanding transparency, placing it well within the AAA quality range.
Light moves freely through the crystal, revealing multiple internal rainbows formed by natural growth features and subtle internal planes. These internal characteristics create depth and movement inside the sphere, giving it a visual complexity that is highly sought after in Diamantina quartz.
The quartz was hand-cut and precision polished by an experienced artisan in Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais. The finishing process used cerium oxide, the same polishing compound applied in fine gemstone cutting, resulting in a smooth, mirror-like surface that enhances clarity without masking the crystal’s natural structure.
Clear quartz spheres of this size and quality are increasingly uncommon, as finding material with sufficient clarity and stability for sphere carving is rare. This piece offers a strong balance of size, transparency, and internal character.
