This exceptional specimen from the renowned El’brusskiy Mine on Mount Elbrus in Russia’s Kabardino-Balkarian Republic presents a vivid display of natural color and crystalline form. A richly saturated bed of deep orange Orpiment crystals – accented by striking yellow edging – radiates intense luster and visual depth. The surface glistens under light, revealing a gemlike texture that captures the mineral’s fiery hue in breathtaking detail.
Adding contrast and compositional intrigue, a large, transparent Barite crystal rests elegantly on the lower right – its glassy clarity juxtaposing the dense Orpiment surface.
