Bonfire by Hasharat presents a hand-blown glass dome set on an ebonized wooden base, encasing a richly layered display of preserved butterflies in fiery oranges, velvety purples, iridescent blues, and earthy browns. The arrangement includes recognisable species such as Morpho (noted for their blue reflective wings), Caligo owl butterflies (with characteristic eye-spots), Junonia species (with bold, patterned markings), and Heliconius types displaying vivid orange-and-black contrasts. Each specimen is mounted in dynamic “in-flight” poses on slender brass rods of varied heights, creating depth, movement, and a sculptural verticality within the dome. Light plays across the wings, revealing natural shimmer and intricate patterning, transforming the piece into a museum-quality natural history tableau and a dramatic decorative focal point.
