About the Item
Conlinoceras Tarrantense Ammonite Fossil, 90 to 100 Million Years Old. A rare and highly sought after ammonite for collectors. The ammonite itself is somewhere between 5 and 6 inches across, while the 6 x 6 x 2.5 measurements include the ammonite and the natural fossil base from which it emerges. There is no other specimen just like this one. A stand is not needed as this gorgeous fossil specimen stands on its own.
Since this is a prehistoric fossil it will show its age (of course!) potentially such as cracks, pits, etc. We do our best to find the nicest possible items with the least bothersome imperfections and we think this is a stellar find.
General Information:
Measurements are approximate and generally represent the highest, widest, and thickest areas of an item. Species and where discovered are estimated based on available comparisons, research of others, and/or the source from which we obtained the specimen as we are not fossil experts. Please expect that prehistoric items such as fossils may have signs of wear, use, or need for cleaning. Some may also have had repairs/restorations or have been sealed for preservation's sake. Please be aware that the color on your monitor and/or in your environment may look slightly different than in ours, so color is not guaranteed to be exact. Please also keep in mind that vintage and older items usually will show some indication of previous ownership and handling. Buyers of vintage and older items are presumed to understand and accept these. Since we do not do returns, please feel free to send questions if you have any before your purchase and we will be pleased to respond.
