About the Item

Glamorous natural purple cubic fluorite with dog tooth Calcite Specimen WEIGHT: 101.12 grams DIMENSIONS: 4.5 x 4.6 x 3.2 Cm ORIGIN : Balochistan, Pakistan TREATMENT None The Fluorite meaning comes from the Latin word for flux, referring to the gems ability to flow in flux and harmony with a range of other materials. If we take that word in a more spiritual sense it beautifully summarizes the mood of Fluorite – one that is all about establishing balance, joy, and harmony. It is used in opalescent glass, in iron and steel enamelware, in the production of hydrofluoric acid, in the refining of lead and antimony, and in the manufacture of high-octane fuels (as a catalyst). Fluorite (also called fluorspar) is the mineral form of calcium fluoride, CaF2. It belongs to the halide minerals. It crystallizes in isometric cubic habit, although octahedral and more complex isometric forms are not uncommon.
