About the Item
Provenance: Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais, Brazil
The name Tourmaline comes from the Sinhalese word “touramalli” which means “stones of mixed colors”.
It can be presented in practically all colors, from colorless to black, passing through brown or yellow, red, blue, pink and green, predominantly dark green and pink shades.
It is said that the Empress Tzu Hsi, who ruled China from 1860 to 1908 was a great admirer of this stone, she used it as carving, in pins, in watch chains or in the buttons of the jackets of the Imperial Court and important people.
Feldspar is a group of minerals that by its structure can be described as a framework of silicon and aluminum, it has several uses such as industrial, decorative and collectible, when combined forming wonderful pieces like this one mounted on this acrylic base of authentic design.
