About the Item
This is a chunk of natural blue amber from Indonesia. Under common light it is brown / dark brown to transluscent depending the thickness, but under ultraviolet light, it becomes blue and lose it's transparency.
This is due to U.V reactive particles located in the smoke of a fire, that has been trapped by the amber before it fossilised.
We made a wooden base to highlight the piece.
It weights 2200 grams without the stand, and we provide the right wavelenght U.V torchlight, recheargeable by USB.
