A very large cabinet pyrite and calcite specimen originating from Madagascar, displayed on one of our exclusive museum-quality painted plaster bases. Naturally formed over millions of years, this striking mineral specimen has a calcite base with a pyrite coating. It showcases a distinctive golden colour, typical of pyrite, for which its metallic lustre is famously named ‘Fool’s Gold’. This unique specimen is a spectacular find, not only for its scale but also its defined point, making an impressive sculptural piece in any property. Specimen only, ex. stand: H29 x W23 x D8.5 cm, 4.32 kg. Comes with an exclusive large custom-made display plinth – ø25.5 x H 9.5 cm
