This powerfully scaled and stunning Modernist Uruguayan Amethyst Rock Crystal Specimen on Black Lacquered Base originates from Uruguay during the latter half of the 20th Century. Features an incredible specimen of Amethyst hued rock crystal, undulating with variations in density and beautifully treated, framed in the surrounding neutral grey stone from which the rock crystals form under immense geological pressure. Vertically oriented yet substantial and well weighted, this piece displays powerful stability while imbued with mystery and intrigue. When viewed while in motion glittering dots of reflective blue and white light dance off the crystals, interacting with the surrounding environment and delighting the senses. The sleek black lacquer base is custom fitted for the piece and serves as a high quality gallery ready support. This lovely piece will style well in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
