The agate patterns are very delicate and showcase millions of years of mineral evolution. Beginning with a deep blue agate lace that interlaces with crystals, the agate lines evolve into deeper tones of blue, creating space for the white agate bandings to take center stage.
In the middle of the geode, the white crystals and druzy take center stage, creating a gorgeous artwork that utilizes forms and growth patterns to create movement in the natural drawings.

You may be wondering how the blue lace layers formed, and this was an amazing process:
Agates typically form inside bubbles or cavities within igneous (volcanic) basalt. Over time, these cavities are filled with layers of water containing high concentrations of silica. As the water slowly evaporates, it forms a layer of silica gelatin, and then another layer is formed. This is a very gradual process, and each layer contains different impurities, resulting in the formation of various colored bands. Pretty fascinating, isn't it?
