About the Item
Aesthetical, X-Large Brazilian Scalenohedral Golden Calcite on Purple Amethyst
▫️ Description
A true sculptural gem discovered in 2020, this Calcite specimen ranks among the finest examples ever found in Ametista do Sul. The eight-inch Calcite crystal formed flawlessly, “hugged” by vibrant purple Amethyst that provides a contrast and makes it pop with brilliant luster. Undoubtedly a natural work of art, this piece stands out as a rare and exceptional Calcite specimen.
While many Calcite pieces have emerged since the 1970s, when Amethyst mining began, this treasure is distinguished by its vivid golden color and a doubly-terminated crystal perched on an all-natural, undamaged matrix. The crystal is a Scalenohedral, featuring a sharp and balanced twin plane at its center.
In pristine condition, the Calcite showcases a complex termination with fully intact surfaces—another rarity for a specimen of this size. The Amethyst cluster matrix forms a natural frame, with flawlessly crystallized and naturally polished points that highlight the Calcite’s luster.
All-natural and pristine, the geode and Calcite formation developed over millions of years in perfect harmony, making it a unique and irreplaceable work of natural art. Please check the pictures for more details, and feel free to message us if you have any questions or special requests. 🤍

E2D Crystals
E2D stands for Edivan, Elizandro, and Denny, the 3 Toazza brothers who compose this Family Owned Business and all share a passion for the finest Crystals. As a family, we were lucky to be born and live in Ametista do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil: 'The World's Amethyst Capital'. Our story begins in the 1970s, when our father had a small-scale industry of Amethyst, Agate, and Citrine, originating our passion for Crystals and Minerals. After years in the void, but always being surrounded by these fantastic crystals, we decided that it was time to bring our dreams to reality, and in 2020 we started E2D with a Mission: Every item we sell is Ethically Sourced from small miners and lapidaries, leading the path for the development of the whole supply chain, especially for the ones who need more, the miners.
