Origin: Minas Gerais, Brazil
It comes from the Greek word “kristallos” which means ice. Quartz is one of the most known and coveted minerals of our planet due to its beauty and variety of colors. Quartz is formed due to a process of thousands of years in the interior of the earth, pressure and heat are the main components. It is colorless and transparent when the base is pure and tinged with different colors when mixed with other minerals during its crystallization process.
The Brazilian deposits of Minas Gerais are the most famous for the quantity and quality of the different types of quartz extracted. In the Celtic tradition, quartz crystals were believed to be the fangs of dragons, guardians of ancestral wisdom, the rhythms of nature and environmental wealth.
On the esoteric level, quartz is considered as the Stone of Power, regenerator of the aura, the perfect healer, its natural tendency is harmony.
