About the Item

A fine antique Victorian glass sterling silver perfume bottle with an integral vinaigrette. By Sampson Mordan With a faceted ruby glass bottle mounted in etched gilt silver mounts with an integral vinaigrette to the base. Simply a great Victorian bottle! Date: Mid-19th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There is some fritting to the glass at the joint in the neck, some flea bites to the facets, and some light bends (and a small tear) to the corners of the lid of the vinaigrette. Otherwise, there are some fine light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: Sampson Mordan Marks: Marked to the reverse of the bottom mount and the inside of the vinaigrette's lid with Sampson Mordan's maker's mark / Lion passant for sterling / Leopard for London / P for 1870 / Victorian duty mark. Measurements: Height: ca. 3 3/4 in. Width: ca. 1 3/8 in. Depth: ca. 7/8 in. Weight: ca. 108 g Items purchased from this dealer must delight you.
