Exquisite Antique Kashmiri Silver Filigree Rosewater Sprinkler (Gulaab Pash)

A rare masterpiece of South Asian silverwork, this antique gulaab pash (rosewater sprinkler) is a stellar example of late 19th to early 20th century Kashmiri filigree craftsmanship. Towering with grace and sophistication, this ceremonial vessel is entirely handcrafted from fine silver using the delicate naqashi filigree technique—each element shaped from twisted silver wire and assembled into a lace-like lattice of breathtaking intricacy.
The form echoes classical Mughal aesthetics with a stylized floral base, bulbous body, and elegantly tapering neck topped with a lotus-inspired finial. The bulbous section, reminiscent of a pomegranate or bud, is adorned with a rhythmic overlay of leaf-shaped filigree panels, each bordered with granulated beading and pierced in meticulous symmetrical motifs. The foot is formed of radiating petals, providing a strong yet airy foundation.
