Beautiful and large, vintage Murano hand blown pink, controlled bubbles and gold flecks rocket shaped Italian art glass decanter. Documented to designer Alfredo Barbini, circa 1950s. Each decanter has their original stopper. The main surface of each piece has a ribbed body design and large applied flared foot. They were created with the "Bullicante" technique, where bubbles are spaced throughout the inner layers of glass. Both are profusely covered in heavy gold leaf, with the gold clinging to each of the bubbles, making them really stand out. Would make a great display piece on any credenza, console table or mantel. Mid-century era. Measurements: 19 3/4" tall x 5 1/2" wide at the base.

Alfredo Barbini
Alfredo Barbini (1912–2007), a glass artist born in 1912 on the islands of Murano in the lagoon of Venice, Italy, was one of Murano's leading figures of the 20th century. His parents were members of families, which had been prominent in the glassmaking industry on Murano for generations as glassblowers and beadmakers.
