Set of Two Mid-Century French Ceramics by Le Cyclope, Vallauris — Fat Lava Glaze
An exceptionally beautiful pair of ceramics from the renowned Vallauris workshop Le Cyclope by Charles Cart, featuring the studio’s signature “Fat Lava” fire-burned glaze in a striking bright cerulean blue over deep black background.
The set includes a pitcher and a handled casserole, both handmade and showcasing the richly textured, volcanic-style glaze that became iconic in mid-century European ceramic production.
The pitcher retains its original label reading:
“Émaux des Glaciers – fait à la main – Cyclope – M. Déposé.”
Condition: Excellent, pristine, with no chips, cracks, or repairs.
