About the Item

An impressive 18th century polychrome decorated drug jar or 'Albarello'. The Albarello is of a typical waisted shape, and is decorated profusely in polychrome. The body of the jar is decorated with brightly colored polychrome of yellow, green and cobalt blue ground with white scrolls. The name F. CALENDULA is inscribed within the center banner. The bottom is unmarked.
