About the Item

Antique Limoges large hand painted porcelain lidded apothecary jar with Latin label and gilt accents. "Cassia Fistula," golden shower tree is a flowering plant native to India and Southeast Asia known for its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties used in traditional medicine to treat a broad range of conditions. Jar is unmarked as it was for professional use and produced prior to 1891 when items were required to be marked. A beautiful jar with clean, classic styling in bold black and gold.
