This exceptional antique German 800 standard silver box has a circular shaped form. The jar is fitted with a push fit silver cover realistically modelled in the form of a stemmed apple. The antique glass body of the jar has a subtly panelled form and is ornamented with cut glass decoration in a geometric design, in addition to a star cut motif to the underside. The upper rim of the jar is fitted with a hallmarked silver mount. The hallmarks struck to the surface of the antique silver mount include: National mark: Crescent moon and crown, Germany Silver quality/purity mark: 800 (800/1000) Maker's mark: WTB (untraced) Condition This antique German silver mounted jar is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.
