After the Antique Etruscan Two-Faced Bronze Oil Vessel, depicting the faces of a Maenad and Satyr, stamped "The Hermitage" in Cyrillic with foundry mark to circular base. 4.5" H x 2.75" W x 3" D. Provenance: From an Upper East Side, New York City Collection. Note: Sigmund Freud owned a similar copy of this bronze vessel, representing the dualism of male and female, beauty and ugliness, and of libido and aggression.
